Boone,- -Engineering Operations Manager <br />SUBJECT: ADDENDUM #1 - 27TH AVENUE & 4TH STREET INTERSECTION <br />UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />BACKGROUND <br />As outlined in the original agenda item dated December 1, 1986 for <br />the subject utility project, a construction cost estimate of <br />$15,000.00,was prepared by Lloyd & Associates, Inc. However, bids <br />for the subject utility construction were significantly higher. <br />Bids -were received from two contractors and are outlined below: <br />COASTLINE UTILITIES, INC. $27,352.72 <br />TED MYERS CONSTRUCTION, INC. $28,646.52 <br />TATA T VQ TQ <br />ViV <br />Time is of the essence, since the subject utility improvements must <br />be completed in conjunction with the intersection improvements being <br />made by the Public Works Division. With this in mind, the Division <br />of Utility Services has directed Lloyd & Associates, Inc. to proceed <br />with the preparation,of a change order for construction. <br />Per original discussions with Lloyd & Associates, Inc., engineering <br />fees for the utility improvements will be 100 of the total <br />construction cost, not to exceed $2,000.00. <br />Engineering fees and construction costs for the subject utility <br />improvements shall be paid by the Division of Utility Services Impact <br />Fee Fund. <br />5 <br />
