r JAN <br />6 1987 <br />BOOK 66 8?1 <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, to create a four-way stop at the <br />intersection of 15th St. SW and 19th Ave. SW. <br />Commissioner Bird commented that he is not really in favor <br />of a proliferation of four-way stops to slow traffic, but since <br />Mr. Myers has demonstrated a very deep concern by coming to the <br />Board on three different occasions, he would vote for the Motion. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. De <br />FROM: Director REFERENCES: <br />General Services <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the time the subject general contract was advertised for bid, we <br />had no idea what would be required or needed to complete the inside <br />of the 911 center. In order to avoid holding up construction of the <br />entire project, the contractors were requested to bid on construction <br />of the Rgtside walls only of the center. <br />A <br />It was agreed that the Architect would come back to the Board with <br />the change orders necessary for equipment and materials as dictated <br />by the approved design of the facility. <br />GENERAL <br />Change Order No. IRC3 - 1, approved by the Board on 12/23/86, <br />provided for conduit to be placed under the concrete floors of the <br />two subject buildings. Change Order IRC3 - 1 was prepared and <br />submitted earlier to avoid a delay to the general contractor in <br />pouring the concrete in the floors. <br />20 <br />
