This was part of our <br />contract with the Architect. <br />be continued through Phase II. <br />He recommended that the inspector <br />Director Baird felt that $38,000 was a reasonable estimate. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />the estimated construction costs for Phase II of the <br />Jail, as submitted by staff. <br />REQUEST FOR A TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY FOR NEW JAIL <br />Sheriff Dobeck requested that the Board approve a temporary <br />Certificate of Occupancy for the new Jail until such time as the <br />landscaping requirements are met. There are some questions <br />regarding the landscaping plan with respect to the security <br />requirements of the DOC. <br />Commissioner Eggert hoped that we would put in as much <br />landscaping as possible without causing a security problem. <br />Commissioner Bird understood that the landscaping was not <br />covered in the construction contract, and Chairman Scurlock <br />advised that the landscaping will be done in-house. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />issuance of a temporary C.O. for Phase I of the new <br />Jail for a period of 90 days to allow for the <br />completion of the landscaping requirements. <br />33 <br />
