<br />Professional Architectural/Planning Services
<br />Agreement between Mayes, Sudderth, and
<br />Etheredge, Inc., and -Indian River County,
<br />Florida.
<br />Final Architectural, Landscaping, Engineering, and Facility
<br />Design Services for Phase I - Golden Sands Beach Recreational
<br />Area (Golden Sands Park).
<br />Pursuant to the Professional Architectural/Planning Services
<br />Agreement dated the 16th Day of September, 1986, by and between
<br />Indian River County, a political subdivision of the State of
<br />Florida, hereinafter referred to as the COUNTY, and Mayes,
<br />Sudderth, and Etheredge, Inc., Orlando, Florida, hereinafter
<br />referred to as the ARCHITECT, this Supplemental Agreement # 2 is
<br />an extension of and hereby becomes a part of the September 16,
<br />1986 agreement (hereinafter referred to as the Master Agreement)
<br />as follows:
<br />,
<br />Section I - Project Limits
<br />The project for which the ARCHITECT will provide supplemental
<br />services shall have limits of work as defined in the Master
<br />Agreement Section I, paragraph 1. Services under this Supple-
<br />mental Agreement #2 shall be provided for only Phase I as
<br />depicted on the COUNTY approved Master Plan drawing of Golden
<br />• Sands Park dated Oct. 1986; all offsite improvements, including
<br />but not limited to road (A -1-A widening), beach structures, etc.
<br />are included in the project limits. Signage is included.
<br />Basic Services required of the ARCHITECT for the above locations
<br />are described in other appropriate sections of the Supplemental
<br />Agreement and Master Agreement.
<br />Section II - COUNTY Obligations
<br />The COUNTY'S obligations are defined in the Master Agreement,
<br />Section II.
<br />Section III - Scope of Services - Architect's Responsibility
<br />The ARCHITECT agrees to perform all services identified in
<br />Section III - A. General, and Section III - D Final Design Phase
<br />of the Master Agreement, in addition to all necessary profession-
<br />al services and in connection with the project as follows:
<br />Upon written authorization from the Director of the Public Works
<br />Department, the ARCHITECT will proceed with the work as follows:
<br />3.1 - Design Development and Construction Document Phase
<br />3.1.1 The ARCHITECT shall prepare, for approval by the
<br />Owner, Design Development Documents consisting of
<br />scale drawings, contract documents, permit sketch-
<br />es, and other documents to fix and describe the
<br />size and character of the entire project as to
<br />architectural, structural, mechanical, and elec-
<br />trical systems, materials, and such other elements
<br />including but not limited to landscaping, civil
<br />engineering, irrigation, site lighting, drainage,
<br />water systems, sewerage, and such other elements
<br />as may be appropriate. Facilities shall be
<br />vandal -proof, easily maintained, and equipped for
<br />the handicapped. Freeze tolerant, drought resis-
<br />tant vegetation where practical shall be consider-
<br />ed. All metals shall be suitable in salt water
<br />environment. Wood shall be fire resistant where
<br />practical. Concrete masonry construction is
<br />preferred for all buildings. Public water supply
<br />is not available. A shallow or deep well is
<br />required with chlorination and minor treatment.
<br />Additional services may be authorized if a more
<br />complex water system is required.
