Brescia, P.E. paving of: 1) 98th Avenue <br />County Engineer 2) 5th Street S.W. <br />3) 40th Avenue <br />4) 41st Avenue <br />5) 1st Street S.W. <br />FROM; <br />Michelle A. Terry <br />Civil Engineer REFERENCES: <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Petitions have been received from property owners of the following <br />streets: <br />1) 98th Avenue South of Route 60 (Preliminary Cost $42,309.13) <br />5th Street S.W. West of 82nd Avenue (Preliminary Cost $28,830.52) <br />3) 40th Avenue from 6th Street to 8th Street (Preliminary Cost <br />$31,391.04) <br />4) 41st Avenue from 10th Street to 12th Street (Preliminary Cost <br />$32,131.56) <br />5) 1st Street S.W. from 20th Avenue to 21st 21st Avenue (Preliminary <br />Cost $4,976.48) <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the paving and <br />drainage improvements. The total cost of these projects is <br />approximately $139,638.73. There is approximately $142,940.91 in the <br />FY86-87 budget for Petition Paving, Account No. 703-214-541-035.39. As <br />money from other roads is replenished to the Petition Paving Account, <br />these roads will be paved. <br />Also, advertisement of the public hearing and notification to the <br />property owners has been performed. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the public <br />hearing,it is recommended that motions be made to: <br />1) Adopt resolutions, providing for the paving and drainage <br />improvements for each petition paving project, subject to the terms <br />outlined in the Resolutions. The applicable interest rate shall be <br />12% at the time the final assessment roll is approved. <br />2) Approve preliminary assessment rolls including any changes made as <br />a result of the public hearing. <br />3) Allocate $139,638.73 from, the Petition Paving Account to fund this <br />work. <br />4) The Road and Bridge Department be notified to schedule construction <br />probably in August 1987 or when funding is available. <br />72 <br />
