PINTO <br />DIRECTOR OF UTILITYR CES <br />FROM: JEFFREY K. BARTON <br />ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: FINAL PAYMENT, PAINTING CONTRACT - <br />MID -FLORIDA ELEVATED WATER STORAGE TANK <br />BACKGROUND <br />Indian River County Division of Utility Services, after several <br />bidding attempts, finally entered into a contract on January 31, 1986 <br />with Hi -Line Contractors to paint the 150,000 gallon elevated water <br />storage tank behind Ennessey-Cadillac. <br />The original contract for $39,978.00 had one change order bringing the <br />contract total to $42,503.00. We have -paid all invoices leaving only <br />the retainage of $4,250.30. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Division of Utility Services staff recommends to the Board of <br />County Commissioners that they authorize the payment of the retainage <br />of $4,250.30 and accept the job as complete, based on the attached <br />recommendation of our engineers, Masteller & Moler Associates, Inc <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />final payment of the retainage of $4,250.30 to <br />Hi -Line Contractors and accepted said painting job <br />as complete, as recommended by staff. <br />H.
