A public hearing on the proposal will be held on Tuesday, April <br />14, 1987, at 9:05 am. in the County Commission Chambers of the County <br />Administration Building, located at 1840 25th St., Vero Beach, Florida. At this <br />public hearing the Board of County Commissioners will consider authorizing the <br />transmittal, of applications to amend the County's Comprehensive Plan to the State <br />for review. The proposed amendments are included in a proposed ordinance <br />entitled: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE LAND <br />USE AND TRANSPORTATION ELEMENTS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; <br />CREATING A THIRTEEN ACRE COMMERCIAL NODE ON THE NORTHSIDE OF <br />17TH STREET WEST OF INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD, ENLARGING THE <br />COMMERCIAL NODE AT S.R. 60 AND KINGS HIGHWAY FROM 160 ACRES TO <br />165 ACRES, ESTABLISHING A MIXED USE DISTRICT ON THE EAST SIDE OF U.S. <br />1 SOUTH OF 35TH STREET, ADDING SECONDARY COLLECTOR ROADS TO <br />THE COUNTY'S THOROUGHFARE PLAN IN THE AREA NORTH OF C.R. 512 <br />AND EAST OF 1-95, DELETING 43RD AVENUE BETWEEN 57TH STREET AND <br />69TH STREET FROM THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN AND THE TRANSPORTATION <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM, RECLASSIFYING 43RD AVENUE AS A <br />SECONDARY COLLECTOR STREET BETWEEN 53RD STREET AND 57TH STREET; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing regarding <br />the transmittal of these proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments. <br />The plan amendment applications may be inspected by the public at the <br />Community Development Division offices located on the second floor of the <br />County Administration Building located at 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />between the hours of 8:30 a.m, and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. <br />Anyone who may wish to appeal any decision which may be made at this <br />meeting will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made <br />which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based. <br />Indian River County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />By: -s-Don C.
