Proclamation - Lelon Berry Donor Aware Day <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />WHEREAS, a fund drive has been establishpq ip cpnjunction <br />memory. <br />with National Human Organ Donor Aware Week in of Lelon <br />Berry who died while awaiting a human organ heart donor; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lelon Berry Memorial Indian River County <br />established a Charter Chapter of Life -Line Donor Aware <br />International whose principal purposes and objectives are: <br />_. Jw <br />1. To educate all persons of the importance and value of <br />11uman Organ Donorship for Transplantation; <br />2. To assist anyone in qualifying and acquiring Human Organ <br />Transplantation both administratively and financially <br />depending on urgency and need; - <br />3. To effect, support and promote legislation at ss}tate and <br />federal levels to assist and provide equally thle <br />preservation of Human Life through Transplantation; and <br />WHEREAS, this drive and organizational purpose serves the <br />needs and interests of the residents of Indian River County and <br />the Treasure Coast Group to benefit all in a life sustaining <br />dedication through Human Organ Donor Transplantation; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that April 28, 1987 <br />be declared <br />LELON BERRY DONOR AWARE DAY <br />in Indian River County in conjunction with NATIONAL DONOR AWARE _ <br />WEEK beginning April 27, 1987, and the Board further urges all <br />citizens of Indian River County to support the efforts of this <br />life-sustaining humanitarian organization. <br />Adopted this 28th day of April, 1987. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />BY <br />DON C.
