He would appreciate any help he could get, but <br />pointed out that the $25 a day fine imposed by the Code <br />Enforcement Board has run up to $1500 and his property is not <br />worth that. He pointed out that if he is unable to sell his <br />property because of the lien, there will be no new development <br />there. Mr. Lattimore advised that he lives there with 4 children <br />and two other gentlemen who have nowhere else to live. If he is <br />kicked out, they will need another place to live also. <br />Mr. Lattimore wondered why the County wants to mess with him <br />in'the first place since he is way out in the boon docks and <br />doesn't bother anyone. He sells a few collard greens, etc, and <br />it is actually good, old-time living. He suggested that if he is <br />forced to remove the mobile from his property that the State <br />build him a house on the same site. Mr. Lattimore wished to know <br />what the County is going to do to him. <br />Chairman Scurlock stated that right now the County is going <br />to kick him out and try to find him assistance in getting him <br />reasonable housing. <br />Commissioner Bird asked if Mr. Lattimore's case is on <br />extension right now, and Mr. DeBlois explained that this case <br />came before the Code Enforcement Board back in May, 1986, and the <br />deadline is currently June 19, 1987. Staff will make a recommen- <br />dation to the Board based on the Housing Authority's ability to <br />assist him by that deadline. <br />Commissioner Bird understood the position of the Code <br />Enforcement Board, but felt that we will have to be consistent in <br />dealing with the other 12 units in the area that might be in <br />non-conformance with our codes. <br />Mr. Lattimore believed there are at least 25 mobiles with <br />families living in them, not just one person to a mobile. <br />Commissioner Bowman asked if we have some Section 8 money <br />for Oslo, and Director Keating stated that this is what the <br />30 <br />
