l <br />I <br />Housing Authority is looking at and it is conceivable that Mr. <br />Lattimore could be relocated in the same area. <br />Mr. Lattimore stated that he is in the process of filling <br />out the papers for the Housing Authority and is sending away for <br />birth certificates, social security numbers, etc. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt that the direction of the Board was <br />going to be that staff proceed to check on all of the 25 trailers <br />in the area to see whether they are grandfathered in. <br />Mr. Lattimore said he didn't want to move to Gifford, <br />because he promised his mother that he would never move there. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, that the Board endorse <br />Alternative #1 and ask the Housing Authority to work <br />with these people with due speed; and at the same time, <br />appeal to the private sector to encourage redevelopment <br />of affordable housing in this area so that these <br />people can remain in their neighborhood. <br />Under discussion, Chairman Scurlock requested that staff <br />bring back a status report on the assistance given to Mr. <br />Lattimore by the Housing Authority. <br />Commissioner Bowman asked if Mr. Lattimore would have to <br />take another day off of work to appear before the Code <br />Enforcement Board on June 19th, and Director Keating said he <br />would not. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The Motion was <br />voted on and carried unanimously. <br />Director Keating advised that staff will be reporting back <br />to the Board sometime after the June 19th meeting. <br />AY 1 �J8i 31 Boos <br />
