She also expressed <br />concern as to the negative effect such a facility would have on <br />her ability to sell her property. <br />Andrew St. Pierre, 716 20th Ave., who lives next door to the <br />subject property, noted that the Board has said they don't want <br />to push a day care center into a commercial area, but they are <br />willing to push it into a residential area. He believed he will <br />not be able to sell his home because of it, and felt this will <br />domino right down the street. There will be more trafic and <br />more problems, and the people don't want it. <br />Joe Donnelly,976 25th Ave., noted that he has lived for 2.5 <br />years just west of the dreaded intersection, and he passes <br />through it daily with his children. He agreed it is a dangerous <br />intersection and needs to be dealt with, but did not believe the <br />impact of the day care center wilt change the problem Existing <br />right now. He noted that another residential area is being <br />developed by Mr. Netto on 8th St. north of 20th Ave., which he <br />believed will have a much greater impact than the proposed day <br />care center. Mr. Donnelly did not doubt the ability of the <br />church to provide a day care center, but believed what Mrs. Mills <br />'will provide wilt have more advantages. <br />Randy Gully, 1830 Floral Lane, stated that he has two <br />children in a day care center now, and the center he takes them <br />to has a traffic problem and it is right on SR60. The real <br />problem he sees right now is the intersection, certainly not the <br />qualifications of the people who want to start the day care <br />center. Mr. Gully felt there is a basic tack nationwide of good <br />stable child care centers; he knew the Mills will provide a good <br />and hoped the county will approve their request. <br />Glenn Strunk, 3895 Indian River Dr., informed the Board that <br />he is involved in the day care center.
