ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the hiring of library consultant HBW of Dallas, Texas <br />in the amount of $33,548.38, plus additional costs <br />resulting from extra days required to meet with <br />officials and community groups for the purpose of <br />receiving input, i.e. food and hotel expenses for <br />approximately 3 days. <br />ALS GRANT <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that we have a potential of <br />getting an ALS grant from the Medical Emergency Services Trust, <br />and our share would be approximately $38,499.03. This grant <br />money has to be used for new equipment and/or pre -hospital <br />services. With the Board's approval, she would have Doug Wright <br />of Emergency Services look this over and see what we can get and <br />bring a recommendation back to the Board. <br />INDIGENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that she will be meeting with the <br />hospital taxing group this week to try to determine exactly what <br />the county must do and what is suggested that they do with <br />respect to recent State legislation, and would be bringing a <br />report back to the Board. <br />There being no further business, on Motion duly made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board adjourned at 11:30 o'clock A.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />Ch a i rma n <br />67 <br />JUL 7.1997 BOOK 752" <br />
