BOOK <br />'JUL 141987 <br />The Chairman again asked if they have sought administrative <br />relief. <br />Attorney Sundstrom stated for the record that Bent Pine <br />right now seeks an extension of the franchise in order to serve <br />Hawk's Nest and asked what the Board wants them to do. <br />Chairman Scurlock noted that is not advertised for today and <br />a public hearing will•,have to be scheduled. Attorney Sundstrom <br />agreed. <br />Attorney Vitunac confirmed that any issue as to geographical <br />expansion is not on the agenda, but Bent Pine may file with Mrs. <br />Forlani-to have that scheduled. He further noted that there is a <br />letter from him to Attorney Sundstrom dated June 4th, as follows: <br />Bill Sundstrom, Esq. <br />Rose, Sundstrom & Bentley <br />2544 Blairstone Pines Drive <br />Tallahassee, FL 32301 <br />Dear Bill: <br />June 4, 1987 <br />Re: Extension of Franchise for Bent Pine Utility <br />The Department of Utility Services of Indian River County <br />will hold a public hearing on July 7, 1987, at 9:05 a.m. in <br />the County Commissioner Chambers at 1840 25th Street, Vero <br />Beach, Florida, to consider the extension of Bent Pine <br />Utilities Co.'s'nonexclusive franchise given originally by <br />Resolution No. 79-111. The new franchise will be basically <br />the same franchise with the following additions or <br />deletions: <br />Section II=I - after the phrase "There is hereby granted <br />5ythe County to the Corporation" add the words "for a <br />period of'30 years from the date of this agreement"... <br />Section VI - reference to "'Construction Specifica- <br />tions for Water Distribution and Sewage Collection <br />Facilities' promulgated by the City of Vero Beach, <br />Water and Sewer Department, November 1, 1977, or as <br />amended" a shall be changed to "Current County <br />Constructsion Specifications" <br />52 <br />
