AUG 4.1997 <br />BOOK <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />accepted staff's recommendation and instructed staff <br />to report back to the Commission when the $20,000 <br />figure draws near. <br />(ORIGINAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN I.R.CO.BD.OF CO. COMMR'S. AND E.W. <br />SIVER & ASSOCIATES, INC.,IS ON FILE IN OFFICE OF CLERK TO BOARD) <br />`FINANCIAL ADVISORY CONSULTANT AGREEMENT WITH M. G. LEWIS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 7/29/87: <br />TO: Honorable Members of DATE: July 29, 1987 <br />the Board of County <br />Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: M. G: LEWIS <br />AGREEMENT <br />FROM: Joseph A. Baird <br />OMB Director <br />The Board of County Commissioners authorized staff to draft a <br />Financial Advisory Consulting Agreement to have M. G. Lewis act <br />as financial advisor for Indian River County. <br />Attached is the agreement. <br />Administrator Balczun advised that this is a standard <br />- contract, which has been amended to include suggestions from <br />staff and the Board. Some conditions were added with respect to <br />- the type of items for which M. G. Lewis would be reimbursed. He <br />pointed out that the proposed cost schedule under 5. Com2ensation <br />was approved essentially by the Financial Advisory Committee, and <br />added that he felt it was extremely reasonable. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt that M. G. Lewis did a fine job for <br />us on the recent small issue, even though they were not <br />compensated for it other than for expenses. <br />Commissioner Eggert pointed.out that the paragraph just <br />before 5. Compensation states that the County can incur attorney <br />24 <br />
