OMB <br />Director Joe Baird feels that since staff has to fill out a <br />prescribed form and get a specified number of prices, they could <br />do better price wise to shop at the time of need rather than <br />trying to anticipate a year in advance. <br />Director Baird advised that he has received extensive work <br />papers from Bob Komarinetz on this matter and his recommendation <br />is that there be no annual bid on this item, and that in the <br />future just large purchases should be brought to the Board. <br />Commissioner Eggert did not want us to get caught in a <br />situation of buying small quantities from time to time, and noted <br />that this also included the dry fertilizer and chemicals in Item <br />Q. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously rejected <br />all bids, and authorized staff to bid this item on an <br />as -needed basis with any item over $2500 to be approved <br />by the Board. <br />Q.
