<br />River County, Florida, hereby provides notice of
<br />a Public Hearing scheduled for 9:05 A.M. on
<br />December 22, 1987 to discuss a proposed ordi-
<br />nance relating to Indian River County entitled:
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER .COUNTY,
<br />FLORIDA, CREATING A DEPENDENT SPECIAL
<br />DISTRICT WITH THE BOARD OF COUNTY
<br />COMMISSIONERS AS THE GOVERNING BODY
<br />FOR PROVIDING A SANITARY LANDFILL OR
<br />OTHER MEANS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF ALL
<br />SOLID WASTE GENERATED WITHIN THE SPE-
<br />CIAL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, WHICH IN-
<br />CLUDES THE ENTIRE UNINCORPORATED
<br />AREA AND MUNICIPALITIES WHICH VOLUN-
<br />TARILY JOIN; PROVIDING A METHOD FOR OB-
<br />JECTING TO DISPOSAL. CHARGES AND
<br />CREATING AN ADJUSTMENT BOARD; PROVID-
<br />ING A PROCEDURE FOR THE CLASSIFICATION
<br />OF ALL PROPERTY WITHIN THE DISTRICT
<br />AND THE IMPOSITION OF AN ANNUAL DIS-
<br />POSAL CHARGE AGAINST ALL ASSESSABLE
<br />PROPERTY BASED UPON SUCH CLASSIFICA-
<br />TION; PROVIDING THAT THE DISPOSAL
<br />CHARGE BE INCLUDED ON THE ANNUAL AD
<br />VALOREM TAX BILL SENT BY THE COUNTY
<br />TAX COLLECTOR; PROVIDING THAT THE DIS-
<br />POSAL CHARGE SHALL CONSTITUTE A LIEN
<br />AGAINST ALL SUCH PROPERTY; PROVIDING
<br />CRITERIA AND PROCEDURES FOR RATE
<br />CHANGES.
<br />Anyone who may wish to appeal any decision
<br />i which may be made at this meeting will need to
<br />ensure that a verbatim record of the proceed-
<br />ings is made, which includes testimony and evi-
<br />dence upon which the appeal is based.

<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian
<br />River County, Florida, hereby provides notice of
<br />a Public Hearing scheduled for 9:05 A.M. on
<br />December 22,1987.
<br />At this meeting, the Board will consider the crea-
<br />tion of a Solid Waste Disposal District to be
<br />funded for special assessments on all benefited
<br />property. The assessments are to be collected in
<br />the same manner as ad valorem taxes are col-
<br />lected. Failure to pay the assessment in a timely
<br />manner may -result In the property owner losing
<br />title to his property the same as he would for fail-
<br />ure to pay ad valorem taxes.
<br />You are invited to attend and be heard concern-
<br />ing this matter.
