DEC 22 1987 1 <br />BOOK 70 P,1E 448 <br />Director Wright advised that the issue of equipment sitting <br />outside at Wabasso is being addressed. <br />Considerable discussion continued, and Commissioner Eggert <br />stated that she would like to work on the Mutual Aid aspect. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that obviously we cannot work out <br />today getting them in the South County District, but as far as <br />using the empty service station is concerned, he believed it <br />would be a tremendous plus for the Wabasso Fire Station if there <br />is some way we can encourage Graves Brothers to allow this, even <br />on a month to month basis. <br />Di.rector Wright noted you must consider factors such as the <br />cost of repairs and insurance just to get in for a short term. <br />He believed we need to look for permanent housing rather than <br />something temporary. <br />Chairman Scurlock pointed out that the Graves Brothers water <br />tank is there for their insurance purposes and also to feed their <br />sprinkler system. The tank was built for the packing house, not <br />the county. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION on the Motion <br />to decline Graves Brothers' offer. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />Commissioner Eggert had to leave the meeting at 12:45 P.M. <br />to keep a medical appointment and asked that the item under her <br />matters - Discussion regarding Organizational Chart - be carried <br />over until the first meeting in January. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF TREATMENT PLAN FROM WESTPORT UTILITIES CORP. <br />Utilities Director Pinto came before the Board in regard to <br />the following offer from Westport Utilities: <br />68 <br />
