Baird <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Bid number 378 for a half ton pickup truck was opened at <br />2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 1987. Thirty-four proposals <br />were sent out and three bids were received. <br />Vendor Equipment Price <br />Bartow Ford Ford Pick-up $11,268.31 <br />Janie Dean Chevrolet Chevrolet $10,648.70 <br />Sunrise Ford Ford $11,775.00 <br />Q <br />ALTENATIVE AND ANALYSIS <br />Janie Dean Chevrolet was the lowest bid received which was <br />$10,648.70; ho,- - the state contract price through Jim Peacock <br />Dodge is <br />FUNDING <br />Agriculture Extension Service had $10,000 .•propriated under <br />"Automobiles" (001-212-537-066.42). <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners purchase <br />a 1/2 ton pick-up truck through the state contract dealer, Jim <br />Peacock Dodge, in the amount of $9,627.00. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously awarded <br />IRC Bid #378, in the amount of $9,627, to Peacock Dodge <br />for the purchase of one 1/2 -ton Pickup Truck, as <br />recommended by OMB Director Baird. <br />C.
