BALCZUN <br />: COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />SUBJECT : SALARY ADJUSTMENT, EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR <br />DATE : DECEMBER 29, 1987 <br />The duties of the Emergency Management Director were expanded as a result of an <br />administrative reorganization effective December 7, 1987. Coincidental with <br />that change,. Mr. Doug Wright was promoted to department head status. In that <br />role, he assumed responsibility for the management of Animal Control, and <br />liaison duties for Emergency Medical Services and Public Safety. <br />It is recommended that Mr. Wright's salary be adjusted upward by $5,000 <br />annually to compensate him for these added duties, and to place him on a salary <br />par with other department heads. His current annual salary is $36386.74. <br />It is further recommended that this change be effective retroactive to December <br />7, 1987, and that Mr. Wright's job classification be placed in salary grade <br />A-03 (34,729 - 46,884) pending possible reclassification as a result of the <br />Classification and Pay Study currently being conducted. <br />Wm.
