TRANSPORTATION PLANNING COMMITTEE <br />SUMMARY OF ACTIONS <br />January 13, 1988 MEETING <br />1. Request for Improvements to 21st Street <br />The Committee concurred with staff recommendations to <br />encourage the FDOT to program road widening and drainage <br />improvements to 21st Street (SR -60) between US -1 and Indian <br />River Boulevard as requested by John Schlitt, Jr. <br />2. Street Light Requests, 4th Quarter 1987 <br />The Committee concurred with the staff recommendation not to <br />fund street lighting requested for the intersections of <br />US-1/1st Street and CR-510/66th Avenue due to insufficient <br />need based upon the adopted street lighting policy. <br />3. Request from School Board to Plan for Proposed Road at <br />Potential North County High School Site <br />Inasmuch as the School Board has not definitely decided on <br />the Eshleman -Brown site for the North County High School, <br />the Committee tabled discussion on the request. <br />4. Locations Sought for FDOT Safety Improvements <br />The FDOT has asked for help in locating any sections of <br />roadway wherepavement markings or reflectors have faded or <br />are missing, or unlighted roads where these safety devices <br />are needed. The Committee members were directed to contact <br />Jim Davis if they know of any such locations. <br />NORTH COUNTY FIRE <br />The Chairman announced that immediately upon adjournment, <br />the Board of County Commissioners would reconvene acting as the <br />District Board of Fire Commissioners of the North Indian River <br />County Fire District. <br />DOCUMENTS TO BE MADE PART OF THE RECORD <br />Agreement with the City of Vero Beach re Utility Service <br />Area (Ryanwood), having been fully executed and received, is <br />hereby made a part of the record as approved at the Regular <br />Meeting of January 12, 1988. <br />JAfi 19 1988 <br />95 BOOK 70 FACE 655 <br />
