Ke <br />Community De <br />el <br />AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE <br />AICP SUBJECT: FOR CHANGES TO THE ZONING <br />ent Director CODE REGARDING USE OF <br />MOBILE HOMES FOR DEVELOP- <br />MENT PROJECT SALES DISPLAY <br />FROM: Stan Boling 4 i1 REFERENCES: RZMHSLSDIS <br />Chief, Current Development STAN4 <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of January 26, 1988. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Recently, the Planning & Zoning Commission considered a site plan <br />application proposing a sales office for a mobile home park <br />project. The sales office site, located in a CG (General Commer- <br />cial District) one mile away from the park, is to include a sales <br />office and a model mobile home for display. The Planning and <br />Zoning Commission approved the site plan with the model mobile <br />home but acknowledged planning staff's concerns regarding the <br />continuous display and use of mobile homes outside of mobile home <br />parks and outside of districts where sale of mobile home trailer <br />units would be appropriate. Consequently, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission directed staff to proceed, if so authorized by the <br />Board of County Commissioners, with proposed amendments to address <br />the use of mobile homes as display models and the sale of mobile <br />hom- trailer units. <br />Planning staff proposes to research the zoning code, and address <br />the following: <br />2 <br />
