,JAN 26 1988 <br />BOOK 70 PAGE 726 <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, that the Board reopen the site <br />selection process for a period of 60 days or less <br />to consider other possible sites and come back with <br />a list of 3 sites for consideration by the Board. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Bird urged the Public Library <br />Advisory Board to think in Tong -range terms and not to paint us <br />into a corner with a piece of property that is too small to <br />expand on if it becomes necessary in the future. <br />William Koolage, 815 26th Avenue, favored buying a lesser <br />portion of the Catron site for the library. <br />Chairman Scurlock pointed out that the library discussions <br />have spearheaded a growing interest by the City and civic groups <br />in the revitalization of the downtown area. <br />Mr. Brierley advised that Sebastian Partnership has some <br />interest in a parcel fronting SR -60 near Kings Highway and would <br />be interested in offering that piece at an attractive price. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
