2 /15/88.1 (Reso )LE111111k) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88-15 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, CANCELLING AND <br />DISCHARGING ANY AND ALL TAX LIENS ON TRACT "E" OF <br />RIVER EDGE SUBDIVISION. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has recently acquired <br />Tract E of River Edge Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book <br />8, Page 81, of the public records of Indian River County, <br />Florida, as part of a project by the County to acquire and <br />renovate an existing water treatment facility serving <br />approximately 500 homes in the area; and <br />WHEREAS, the former owner of this tract has failed to <br />pay certain taxes due; and <br />WHEREAS, §196.28, Florida Statutes, allows the Board of <br />County Commissioners to cancel and discharge any and all <br />liens for taxes, delinquent or current, held by the County <br />on lands kept for public use; and <br />WHEREAS, this cancellation shall be by resolution of <br />the Board of County Commissioners; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. There is hereby cancelled and discharged any and <br />all liens for taxes delinquent or current on Tract E of <br />River Edge Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 8, Page <br />81 of the public records of Indian River County, Florida, <br />which lands are to be used by the County as a water <br />treatment facility. <br />2. The Clerk to the Board is authorized to provide a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Tax Collector of <br />Indian River County. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by <br />Commissioner Eggert who moved its adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Bird <br />and, <br />upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye <br />Vice -Chairman Gary C.
