keeping maintenance workers; they have lost 3 or 4 in the last <br />few weeks mainly because they can find better paying positions <br />elsewhere. <br />Question followed as to when the job classification and <br />salary study will be completed. Administrator Balczun believed <br />it should be done about mid March, and he will check on it. <br />Commissioner Eggert asked Director Davis how he is <br />progressing with finding an Assistant Public Works Director, and <br />Director Davis reported that the two top candidates for that <br />position did not show up for the interview, and he now is down to <br />about the 4th or 5th on the priority list. He did interview one, <br />but he had no road building experience, and Director Davis felt <br />that is critical knowledge for this position. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked OMB Director. Baird to prepare <br />something for the Board to go over Cash Carry Forward and contin- <br />gency, and Director Baird confirmed that for the next budget <br />season, his office will do a complete cash flow analysis and, in <br />fact, they are working on it right now. <br />Commissioner Eggert commented that on this particular agenda <br />she finds more and more items in the Consent Agenda that she did <br />not think should be in there because there is either too much <br />discussion on them or too many alternatives.
