ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved staff <br />recommendation and authorized them to begin contract <br />negotiations with the firm ranked number 1, as listed <br />above. <br />(4.) Surplus Items - Utilities <br />The Board reviewed memo of Budget Analyst Leila Miller: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Joseph A. Bair <br />OMB Director <br />FROM: Leila Miller <br />Budget Analyst <br />DATE: February 19, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: SURPLUS ITEMS - <br />UTILITIES <br />DESCIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Utilities Department requests that two vehicles, a 1970 GMC <br />vacuum truck (Asset # 191); and a 1980 Chevrolet Chevette (Asset # 56) <br />be removed from the Utilities Services inventory. Staff recommends <br />that these vehicles be sold as surplus items. Both these vehicles are <br />in need of major repair and have become maintenance problems. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously declared the <br />Utilities vehicles listed above surplus and instructed <br />that they be removed from the Utilities Services <br />Inventory and sold as surplus items. <br />(5,) Budget Amendment #023 - Unemployment Compensation <br />The Board reviewed memo of Budget Analyst Leila Miller: <br />6 <br />d1AR 1 `988 <br />BOOK 71 PAGE 104 <br />
