Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Consultant Selection Committee <br />Recommendations - Indian River Boulevard Phase IV <br />Engineering Design <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Staff has formally advertised and received letters of interest <br />from Consulting Engineering firms for design services - Phase IV, <br />Indian River Boulevard Extension between 37th Street (Barber <br />Avenue) and 53rd Street (Kingsberry Road). Eight firms submitted <br />letters of interest. A list of the firms is attached. The <br />Selection Committee, appointed by the County Administrator, met <br />on February 19, 1988, to interview and rank the short listed <br />firms as follows <br />Ranking Firm <br />1 Glace and Radcliffe, Inc. - Maitland, F1. <br />2 Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. - Vero Beach, F1.. <br />4 McQueen & Associates, Inc. - Vero Beach, F1. <br />3 Post, Buckley, Schuh and Jernigan, Inc. - West Palm <br />Beach, F1. <br />The procedure in selecting the above firms complies with the <br />Florida Statutes and the County Attorney's recent memo regarding <br />Consultant Selection.. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />Based upon the Selection Committee's recommendation, staff <br />requests authorization to begin contract negotiations with the <br />number 1 ranked firm.
