Kanarek <br />Request <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS <br />Approximately one and a half (1') years ago a security system <br />was installed in the Circuit Court Judges Office Suite of the <br />Courthouse. The system requires that access be controlled by <br />the Circuit Judges judicial assistants, who monitor the entrance <br />area by closed-circuit television. Presently, monitors are <br />located on both Judge Smith's and Judge Vocelle's assistants <br />work stations. <br />Judge Kanarek has requested that his assistants be supplied <br />with the monitor and door control for access when the other <br />assistants are not present. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />I have received a cost estimate from Sonitrol, the original <br />installer and monitoring company, of $950 for the equipment <br />and installation of the required equipment. This is a single <br />source purchase. <br />RECOMP•IENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of purchase as requested, and that <br />funding be provided from Coutt Facilities Fund account <br /># 106-901-526-066.41. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved purchase and <br />installation of the equipment requested by Judge Kanarek <br />from Sonitrol, as a sole source, in the amount of $950. <br />MAR 15 1988 <br />L_ <br />22 BOOK 71 mrE 191 <br />
