Chairman Scurlock believed the majority of the Board wants <br />to see how other cities' ordinances are doing. <br />MAIN LIBRARY BUILDING PROGRAM <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/15/88: <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert, <br />Chairman, Public Library Advisory Board <br />DATE: March 15, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: Main Library Building Program <br />The Public Library Advisory Board recommends that you <br />approve the Main Library Building Program for a 35,000 <br />square -foot one-story library building and requests that a RFP be <br />sent out for an architect. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, that the Board approve the <br />Main Library Building Program for a 35,000 sq. ft. <br />one-story library building and authorized that an RFP <br />be sent out for an architect to build it. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Bird asked if this would be <br />for a facility that could be built on any site, and Commissioner <br />Eggert stated that the only site this could not go on is <br />someplace under 3.08 acres, and Chairman Scurlock noted that the <br />only place this could not go is on the Grace Lutheran site or the <br />Health Building site. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
