Balczun DATE: April 4, 1988 FILE: <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Item - Approval for <br />Indian River County <br />Volunteer Ambulance Squad <br />to purchase fuel at County <br />Yard <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director REFERENCES: <br />Emergency Management Services <br />It is requested that the information herein presented be given <br />formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at <br />its next regular meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Indian River County Volunteer Ambulance Squad is currently <br />utilizing the fuel pumps at the old jail site to provide fuel <br />to their emergency transport vehicles. Plans are being com- <br />pleted for the fuel pumps and underground tanks to be removed <br />by the Public Works Department at the site which will leave <br />the emergency response provider without an around the clock <br />source of fuel.
