NAY 1V <br />BOOK <br />TRANSPORTATION PLANNING COMMITTEE REPORT <br />'72 -E403 <br />Commissioner Bowman reviewed the following Summary of <br />Actions of the meeting of May 11, 1988: <br />TRANSPORTATION PLANNING COMMITTEE <br />SUMMARY OF ACTIONS <br />May 11, 1988 MEETING <br />The Transportation Planning Committee recommended the following <br />actions during its 5/11/88 meeting: <br />1. CR -510 at Kings Highway Intersection <br />Install a flashing beacon to -warn motorists of the <br />northbound stop sign. <br />2. Speed Limit along SR -60 from 50th Avenue to I-95 <br />Request Florida Highway Patrol and Sheriff's Department to <br />enforce the speed limit along SR -60 and request D.O.T. to <br />perform a speed limit study to reduce speed limit from 55 <br />MPH to 45 MPH. <br />Commissioner Bowman pointed out that last year a truck had <br />gone through the intersection of CR -510 and Kings Highway and <br />knocked down a building. With regard to the speed limit along <br />SR -60 from 50th Avenue to I-95, she felt the main problem is that <br />there aren't any signs posted.that require slow traffic to stay <br />in the right lane. <br />PROPOSED COMMITTEE TO WORK ON MASTER PLAN FOR JUNGLE TRAIL <br />Commissi.oner Bowman wished to form a committee to come up <br />with a master plan for the use of Jungle Trail, and would like <br />the Board's permission to confer with the Historical Society, the <br />Native .Plant Society, and the Planning Department and see what we <br />can come up with before we.get into another bind on this road. <br />Chairman Scurlock was under the impression that we did that <br />during the meeting on the Windsor Polo Club, but Commissioner <br />60 <br />
