Bowman explained that we don't really have a firm plan for it, <br />and there.is a need to study it more now that the issue has <br />cooled down a bit. <br />Commissioner Bird understood that Commissioner Bowman would <br />bring the composition of the committee back to the Board and that <br />it would be a well balanced committee. <br />Commissioner Eggert suggested that they have representation <br />from the citrus owners in that area. <br />The Board indicated their agreement with Commissioner <br />Bowman's request. <br />REQUEST TO SET COUNTY POLICY TO USE _MELALEUCA_MULCH WHENEVER <br />POSSIBLE <br />Commissioner Bowman wished to have the Board direct staff to <br />use Melaleuca mulch whenever possible, instead of using <br />Cypress mulch. She wished to see the Board set a policy of <br />buying Melaleuca mulch, which is made from Melaleuca trees. <br />Commissioner Bird did not want to make it a hard and fast <br />policy, but felt that the Board should suggest to the Purchasing <br />Dept. and Road & Bridge to try and purchase Melaleuca mulch <br />whenever possible and whenever it is cost effective. <br />The Board -indicated their agreement. <br />SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that immediately upon adjournment, <br />the Board of County Commissioners would reconvene acting as the <br />District Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal <br />District.
