Administrator Balczun stated for the record that at this <br />time he is very unhappy with Frizzell. He is troubled when we <br />get invoices without signature, and he also felt they are <br />beginning to play a game as to responsibility for the acoustics. <br />He believed he made the Board's position crystal clear in the <br />letter he sent them, and they simply said they did not under- <br />stand his letter. He advised that he has written them once again <br />spelling out the Board's position that acoustics for the existing <br />maximum security pod not be compensable. <br />HVAC SYSTEM CORRECTIONS - CONFERENCE ROOM I <br />Administrator Balczun reviewed the following memo: <br />TO-.Bd. of County Comm. Balczun REFERENCES: <br />County Administrator f <br />ct <br />BACKGROUND_ <br />We- have and are continuing to receive complaints concerning air. <br />"temperatures and movement throughout the County Administration -_ <br />Building. To this end, a system study was conducted and numerous - <br />recommendations made as to specific corrective actions. Some of <br />those corrections were of such a nature that they have been/are <br />being made on an on-going basis. <br />Other corrections are currently programmed into the proposed FY <br />88-89 budget. <br />Staff currently proposes to correct deficiencies now which affect <br />temperature and air movement in Conference Room 1 which has been <br />and continues to be a source of complaints. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Staff proposes to correct problems in the duct and control system <br />serving Conference Room 1 now as opposed to waiting until next <br />year.
