Commissioner Bird pointed out that there are 3 MAI <br />appraisals, and he would like to see the County pay the average <br />value of the three, which is the $1.6 million. <br />Commissioner Eggert felt she could support Commissioner <br />Bowman's suggestion of $11,500 per acre, which comes out to <br />approximately $1.7 million, and Chairman Scurlock felt he could <br />support that also. <br />Mr. Beuttell pointed out that the appraisals are based on a <br />cash price and do not consider the benefits of payment terms, but <br />Commissioner Eggert explained that is why the Board is <br />considering $11,500 per acre. <br />The Board indicated that $1,725,000 would be the County's <br />offer, but Attorney Jackson advised that was not acceptable to <br />the owner. <br />Mr. Beuttell made a counter offer of $1,850,00, but the <br />Board indicated that would not be acceptable. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously offered <br />$11,500 per acre for the Beuttell property, such offer <br />to be withdrawn in a 2 -week period if not accepted; and <br />authorized staff to look at the property east of the <br />wastewater plant. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - DANIEL SMITH'S REQUEST TO REZONE 4.8 ACRES FROM <br />AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO RURAL FRINGE DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT <br />The hour of 9:05 o'clock having passed, the Deputy Clerk <br />read the following Notice with Proof of Publication attached, to <br />wit: <br />30 <br />JUN 7 1988 <br />BOOK 72 FAGE 529 <br />
