Commissioner Eggert reported that basically the Emergency <br />Coordinating Committee wishes to see Indian River Shores continue <br />servicing the north beach area for at least another year. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />approved a Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity for EMS Transport to the Town of Indian <br />River Shores. <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES <br />CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY <br />WHEREAS, theTown of Indian -River Shores has requested authorization to provide <br />BLS/ALS EMS Transport services to the citizens of Indian River County: and <br />(Advanced Life or Basic Life Support) <br />WHEREAS, there has been demonstrated there is a need to provide these essential services to <br />the citizens of this county; and, <br />WHEREAS, the above named service affirms that it will maintain compliance with the requirements <br />of the Emergency Medical Services Act (Chapter. 401,,F.S.1 and rules (Chapter 10D-66, F.A.C.). <br />THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissioners of Irtd9an Rjver County hereby issues a <br />certificate of Public Convenience and Necesaity.to said.Company to provide BT.s/Ats FMS Transpo <br />services with limitations as prescribed on this certificate.
