Wiegers REFERENCES: the moorings <br />Staff Planner BWIEG2 <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its regular <br />meeting of June 28, 1988. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />Ms. Dorothy Hudson, on behalf of The Moorings Center, Inc., is <br />appealing to the Board of County Commissioners a decision by the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission to apply existing County sidewalk <br />regulations to the "Moorings Commercial Center" project located at <br />2100 Windward Way and S.R. A -1-A. <br />Shopping Center Approval: <br />At its regular meeting of March 24, 1988, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission granted major site plan approval to construct the <br />proposed 38,884 sq, ft. shopping center located within the <br />northern half of the Moorings Commercial Node at S.R. A -1-A. At* <br />the time this plan was approved, a 4' public sidewalk was shown on <br />the approved plan, along the site's frontage of Windward Way, <br />Bowline Drive, and Mooring Line Drive, as required by Section <br />19(L) and 23.3(e)5.b of the zoning code. At the same time the <br />plan also met the County requirements for providing a 10' <br />landscaped buffer strip, including trees and hedging along the <br />site's bowline Drive frontage, where the off-street parking areas <br />are exposed to abutting rights-of-way. Along the Bowline Drive <br />frontage, opposite several single family .homes, the approved plan <br />depicted a ±2' landscaped berm with hedging on-site and a 4' <br />sidewalk within the Bowline Drive right-of-way. <br />14 BOOK `31'41107 <br />
