� � r <br />Chairman Scurlock informed the Board that he attended a <br />meeting with St. Lucie County recently and :learned that they did <br />an analysis in this regard with the result that they now are <br />contracting out for specific services for certain portions of <br />their roads and finding it very cost effective. He hoped that <br />during budget sessions we discuss that possibility. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0). <br />ADDITIONAL HRS FUNDING <br />Administrator Balczun reviewed the following: <br />TO: Board of County DATE: June 29, 1988 FILE: <br />Commissioners <br />FROM;Charles P. Balczun <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL HRS FUNDING - - <br />AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE <br />AGREEMENT <br />REFERENCES: <br />We have been informed of the availability of additional state <br />funding for certain programs administered by the Indian River <br />County Public Health Unit. <br />The programs and amounts are: <br />PRIMARY CARE $ 67,415.00 - <br />FAMILY PLANNING $ 3,817.00 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (SJRWDM) $ 11,316..00 <br />These fundswill be made available to the County if the Board of <br />County Commissioners authorize the Chairman to execute a copy of <br />the notification letter dated June 14, 1988 from the HRS District <br />IX Administrator (copy attached). <br />It is recommended that you authorize execution of that document and <br />direct staff to prepare and forward to HRS the amended documents <br />referenced in the letter. <br />JUL 5 im 53 nox 73 F'nliE 193 <br />
