Davis, P.E. c� �- <br />Public Works Director ✓fes <br />SUBJECT: Indian River Boulevard Phase IV - 37th Street to 53rd <br />Street and Connecting Roadways - Professional <br />Engineering Services Agreement - Glace and Radcliffe, <br />Inc. <br />DATE: June 28, 1988 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Staff has negotiated the attached Professional Engineering <br />Services Agreement with Glace and Radcliffe, Inc. to provide <br />engineering, surveying, and design services for the Indian River <br />Boulevard Phase IV Extension. The scope -of -work has been care- <br />fully prepared and a basic Fee of.$285,825 has been established. <br />The project includes the following roadways: <br />Indian River Blvd. (IRB) from 37th Street to 53rd St <br />Length <br />of project <br />2.0 <br />miles <br />41st Street <br />from US 1 to IRB <br />Length <br />3/4 <br />mile <br />45th Street <br />from US to IRB' <br />Length <br />1/2 <br />mile <br />53rd Street <br />from USI to IRB <br />Length <br />1/2 <br />mile <br />Approximate length of Project 3 3/4 miles <br />The estimated construction cost is approximately $4 million. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute the attached agreement. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Authorize staff to proceed to the second short listed firm <br />to negotiate. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that Alternative No. 1 be approved.
