DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: ~ <br />ar ly•^So <br />Purchasing has been requested to sell certain County <br />owned real property located in the Fellsmere area. <br />This property was approved for sale by the BCC 8-30-76. <br />(Attached Memo) <br />2. ALTERNATIVES AND _ANALYSIS: <br />Discussions have been held with Assistant County Attorney, <br />Sharon Brennan, to determine proper procedure. <br />(Memo Attached) <br />Under procedure IV Iri.Ms"Brennan's letter, the Board of <br />R-1 <br />County Commissioners can ie,ll property directly to adjacent <br />property owners if it is in the County's best interest to �w <br />do so. <br />An offer to purchase Lot 16, -Block 81 in the town of <br />Fellsmere has been made by Troy E. Cruce Sr., an adjacent <br />property owner, for $300.,00. The property appraiser's <br />office has appraised this property at $850.00. However, the <br />size of this lot (25' x.100=1) make it of little value to anyone <br />other than the adjacent property owner. Staff has negotiated <br />with Mr Cruce to increase.his offer but has not been successful. _- <br />Mr.. Cruce has been mowing and maintaining this property for <br />sometime at his expense. Sale of -this property will return it <br />to the tax rolls. <br />Staff has notified all.adjacent property owners of our intent to <br />to sell this property in accordance with section 5 of Ms Brennan's <br />letter. <br />Q 3. RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING: <br />Staff recommends • that we accept <br />$300.00 from Mr. Cruce and sell <br />Quit Claim Deed. <br />7 <br />the proposed price of <br />the property to him with a <br />Boor, 73 P ��� <br />
