Service, staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approve the Agreement To Purchase with the Town of Indian River <br />Shores. Once the title is conveyed to the County, a license will <br />be prepared by the County Attorney's Office setting forth the con- <br />ditions alluded to above in terms of insurance and maintenance of <br />the vehicle. <br />Funds will be transmitted to the Town of Indian River Shores in <br />the amount of $12,000 upon receipt of the monies from HRS. <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that the ambulance is badly <br />needed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, The Board unanimously approved <br />the Agreement with the Town of Indian River Shores <br />and authorized the signature of the Chairman. <br />A G R E E M E N T <br />BETWEEN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />AND <br />TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES <br />RE: PURCHASE OF AMBULANCE <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made this dayof , <br />1988, by and between INDIAN RIVE'�tOUNTY, a political <br />`subdivision of the State of Florida, 1840 25th Street, Vero <br />Beach, FL 32960, (407) 567-8000 (COUNTY), and TOWN OF INDIAN <br />RIVER SHORES, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />Florida, Town Hall, 6001 N. A -1-A, Vero Beach, FL 32963, <br />(407) 231-1771 (TOWN), <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS, COUNTY has been notified that it will <br />receive $40,987 through the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) <br />County Awards Program, of which $12,000 has been designated <br />for the purchase of a 1980 Chevrolet Type I Modular <br />Ambulance, Vehicle I.D. #CCW33AB107239 from the TOWN; <br />WHEREAS, the grant of funds will not be available <br />until after October 1, 1988, yet the ambulance is needed <br />Immediately by the COUNTY for use by the Fellsmere Volunteer <br />Ambulance Services; and <br />WHEREAS, the TOWN is willing to transfer title to <br />the ambulance to the COUNTY immediately with the <br />understanding that the funds will be paid upon receipt in <br />the next fiscal year from the Florida Department of Health <br />and Rehabilitative Services (HRS); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the <br />mutual covenants contained herein the COUNTY and the TOWN <br />agree as follows: <br />1.
