"SONNY"DE <br />MANAGER OF SOLID WAST MANAGEMENT <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY ERVICES -- <br />SUBJECT: CITRUS GROVE CARETAKING <br />BACKGROUND <br />It has been our policy to bid the subject work on an annual basis. <br />Last year, there was one bid received and it was lower than the <br />previous year's. <br />Arapaho Citrus Management, Inc. is the present caretaker and has done <br />a good job. Both Steve Futch, Agriculture Extension Director, and <br />this writer are pleased with the past year's performance by the <br />Company. <br />ANALYSIS <br />We have discussed with Arapaho the possibility of continuing the <br />present contract for another year, based on the same pricing. They <br />have indicated this proposal would be amendable to them. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Based on the above facts staff recommends. the Board of County <br />Commissioners authorize a extended contract. with Arapaho Citrus <br />Management, Inc., and authorize the 'Chairman to execute the <br />agreement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />extending the contract with Arapaho Citrus Manage- <br />ment, Inc., as recommended by staff and authorized <br />the signature of the Chairman. <br />CONTRACT WILL BE MADE A PART OF THE RECORD WHEN FULLY EXECUTED <br />AND RECEIVED. <br />101 <br />Boor. 73 °c 599 <br />
