Commissioner Bowman suggested that we might give some <br />consideration to renting with an option to buy, and Mr. Dean <br />advised that has already been talked about and Mr. Fisher is open <br />to that possibility. <br />THE VICE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />LEASE W/SEBASTIAN SQUARE ASSOC. FOR SPACE FOR TAX COLLECTOR <br />Tax Collector Gene Morris came before the Board in regard to <br />leasing space in the North County. In regard to the presentation <br />just made regarding an office complex in the North County, Mr. <br />Morris confirmed that when that space is available, he will give <br />consideration to moving his branch office there if it is <br />consolidated and all other county functions are there. He noted <br />that right now there are very few places in Sebastian that have <br />adequate parking for a tag office. <br />Commissioner Eggert commented that'Mr. Morris is presenting <br />a three year lease, and the proposed building could be ready <br />sooner than that. <br />Mr. Morris advised that he has talked to Mr. Evans of <br />Sebastian Square Assoc. and informed him that if there was a <br />possibility they could move to an area where other governmental <br />entities were consolidated, that is what they would be doing. <br />Commissioner Bird inquired asked if this lease is the type <br />where the tenant does the interior alterations, and Mr. Morris <br />advised that they didn't have to do anything; even the walls were <br />painted for them. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />the Lease Agreement with Sebastian Square Associates <br />for space for the Tax Collector. <br />AUG 2 3 1988 49 BOOK .7un 5-4-7 <br />
