r An W <br />Tuesday, September 6, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />September 6, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and <br />Carolyn K. Eggert. Absent was Vice Chairman Gary C. Wheeler, <br />who was out of town. Also present were William G. Collins, ll, <br />Acting County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the <br />Board of County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB Director; and <br />Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Dr. James Sanders, Chaplain of the State Correctional <br />Institute gave the invocation, and Commissioner Bowman <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock asked that an emergency item be added in <br />regard to rescheduling a public hearing for the Utilities <br />Department for certain water system improvements. <br />Commissioner Eggert requested that Item 6D - Reappointments <br />to the Alcohol, Drug Abuse S Mental Health Planning Council - be <br />tabled for one week. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, Commissioner Wheeler being absent, <br />the Board unanimously (4-0) added the item for the <br />Utilities Department as requested by the Chairman <br />and agreed to table Item 6D for one week. <br />IEP 6 1988 Boos °— =;,cE 01 <br />
