FIRE DETECTION & SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS CODE FOR INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />The Board reviewed memo from County Attorney Vitunac: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: '-August 31, 1988 <br />RE: FIRE DETECTION AND SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS CODE <br />FOR INDIAN RIVER COUNTY --Board Meeting 9/6/88 <br />Attached Is a proposed ordinance which Fire Chief John Allen <br />has recommended for adoption by the Board. The ordinance <br />would require all fire alarms and similar systems to be <br />tested at least once a year. <br />We would like Board authorization to schedule the ordinance <br />for a public hearing and to publish notice in the Press <br />Journal Newspaper. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized staff to schedule a public hearing <br />for the proposed ordinance and advertise same. <br />Commissioner Bird commented that he approved this in concept <br />but would like to see some information presented at the public <br />hearing as to the projected financial impact. <br />PAYMENT OF HOSPITAL BILLS FOR LIBRARIAN <br />The Board reviewed memo from the County Attorney: <br />102 <br />BOOK <br />74 [',,GE 102 <br />
