Chairman Scurlock questioned the emergency nature of this <br />that it can't wait a week to get on the agenda, and Mr. McCain <br />advised that we are looking at a substantial capacity reduction <br />if the membranes start to fail. <br />The Chairman did not have a problem with not going to <br />bidding, but he did not see why we get ourselves in such an <br />emergency situation that seven days makes a difference. <br />Mr. -McCain believed this item initially had been prepared to <br />go on the agenda today, and he did not know why it missed it. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by_Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously added <br />consideration of negotiating for Reverse Osmosis <br />Membranes to the Agenda as an emergency item. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously waived <br />bidding on Reverse Osmosis Membranes as recommended <br />by staff and authorized negotiating and proceeding <br />to purchase. <br />Acting Administrator Collins wished to further emphasize the <br />importance of items being submitted in time to make the agenda, <br />and Board members concurred. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - AMENDING ZONING CODE RE BOTTLE CLUBS, ADULT <br />ENTERTAINMENT, ETC. <br />The hour of 9:05 o'clock A.M. having passed, the Deputy <br />Clerk read the following Notice with Proof of Publication <br />attached, to -wit: <br />23 <br />SEP 2 0 1988 Boo -K 74 P,q�F107 <br />
