Commissioner Bird commented that if we are going to delay <br />action on this ordinance, he would like to see it redrafted to be <br />more punitive on those systems which are are causing the problem <br />and possibly there should be some cumulative type thing, i.e., on <br />the first false alarm, inspection of the system would be <br />required; on the second false alarm, inspection and a fine, etc. <br />Commissioner Bowman noted that you can't fine someone if <br />lightning affects their system. She wished to know if Chief <br />Allen felt that state standards are high enough, and the Chief <br />felt they are adequate. <br />Attorney Vitunac suggested that action on the ordinance be <br />tabled and that it be brought back with another advertisement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) tabled action <br />on the proposed ordinance and directed that it be re - <br />advertised and brought back with further information <br />and changes as discussed. <br />Bid #464 - PUBLIC WARNING SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />Acting Administrator Collins reviewed the following memo, <br />noting that the Emergency Management Director will address the <br />minor exception: <br />CT 41988 23 P00K 74 D,E 420 <br />
