the Town of Orchid, especially with the cooperation we have <br />received recently. <br />Commissioner Bowman noted that we are only dealing with the <br />present owners and was concerned about future owners, but <br />Chairman Scurlock pointed out that utility capacity relates to <br />density. The reason he wants the exclusive franchise for <br />utilities is because we are talking about a 20-30 year franchise <br />agreement that would lock in the Town in a contractual way in <br />terms of capacity. <br />The Commissioners indicated that they felt that would be the <br />best approach. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously took the <br />position not to oppose the annexation of the Town of <br />Orchid and encourage Commission members and staff to <br />continue negotiations with the Town of Orchid for the <br />provision of necessary services. <br />NORTH COUNTY OFFICE SPACE <br />The Board reviewed the following memos dated 10/4/88 and <br />10/7/88: <br />TO: <br />oar • o oun y ommissioner <br />DATE: ' c o • er a, Pin FILE: <br />SUBJECT: NORTH COUNTY OFFICE <br />SPACE <br />William G.
