C. IRCVAS staffing be reviewed within six (6) months and a <br />supplemental report be made to the Emergency Services <br />Coordinating Committee and the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />Chairman Scurlock opened the public hearing, and asked if <br />anyone wished to be heard in this matter. There being none, he <br />closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />the renewal of the Certificate of Public Convenience <br />and Necessity to the Indian River County Volunteer <br />Ambulance Squad for a period of two years based on <br />the conditions as set out in Alternative #2 in the <br />above recommendation. <br />Commissioner Eggert thanked Matt Witherspoon for all he and <br />his staff have done for the community. <br />SALARY STUDY IMPLEMENTATION UPDATE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/5/88: <br />TO: <br />oar • o oun y ommussioner • co • er <br />DATE: <br />SUBJECT: SALARY STUDY <br />IMPLEMENTATION <br />William G. Collins 11 <br />FROM: Acting County Administrator REFERENCES: <br />FILE: <br />At the Board meeting of September 20th I was given the direction to <br />implement the plan for pay raises as presented to the Board on that date. <br />The Board expressed their confidence in the approach being taken and gave <br />me the discretion to make some equitable adjustments or fine tunings, and to <br />look at the implementation of a $5,000 salary cap. In the interim I have met <br />with several of the department heads to try and refine and eliminate <br />inequities within their departmental salary structures. As a result of these <br />adjustments and the implementation of the $5,000 cap the implementation of the <br />salary study stands as follows: -- <br />35 <br />35 MGK <br />0 11 1988 <br />479 <br />
