McCAI <br />PROJECTS ENGINEE <br />DEPARTMENT OF UT TY SERVICES <br />DATE: OCTOBER 24, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: 6TH AVENUE AND 8TH STREET GRAVITY SEWER, PUMP STATION AND <br />FORCE MAIN <br />BACKGROUND <br />On October 27, 1987, the Board of County Commissioners signed work <br />authorization number 19 for consulting services on the <br />aforementioned project with Masteller and Moler Associates Inc. The <br />initial scope (See attached W.O. #19) of the project has been <br />increased to include 600 feet of force main to service Kennedy <br />Groves, along with several other gravity sewer connections (See <br />attached W.O. #19-A). <br />ANALYSIS <br />I will list the cost change items, item by item: <br />Engineering Design Original cost $ 9,750.00 <br />Services <br />New cost $12,120.00 <br />Difference $ 2,370.00 <br />Engineer Inspection Original cost $ 4,070.00 <br />Services <br />New cost $ 5,105.00 <br />Difference $ 1,035.00 <br />The total cost increase is therefore $3,405.00 for design and <br />inspection. This cost increase will be funded per the upcoming <br />assessment to the property owners. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Utility Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approve the aforementioned action. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />Work Authorization #19-A which increases W.O. #19 <br />to include force main to service Kennedy Groves, per <br />the above memo. <br />81 <br />NOV 11988 <br />BOOK <br />75PAGE 81 <br />
