now they are doing approximately 300 meals three times a day.. <br />they also have a tremendous amount of laundry; they are required <br />to give the prisoners 3 towels when they come in the facility. <br />We have been cited for not giving them sutticient towels. <br />Discussion continued, and the Chairman believed the direc- <br />tion from the Board is that the Architects should be prepared to <br />go out to bid in March after we learn about the referendum. <br />Commissioner Bird assumed that in this design, they have <br />learned from past mistakes with the acoustics, floor coverings, <br />etc. and those mistakes would not be repeated. <br />Owner's Representative Doug Wright advised that we have had <br />a pretty good working relationship but have some real concerns <br />still to be addressed, especially the electronics and he wanted <br />to get that right before they come to the Board. <br />DISCUSS ACTION AGAINST ELECTRONICS PROVIDER FOR PHASE II <br />Attorney Vitunac informed the Board there is another item to <br />be discussed relating to the jail. Mr. Dean has written another <br />memo requesting that we file a suit against the bonding company <br />tor the electronics provider for Phase II. The jail doors still <br />are not working and our warranty expires in a month. <br />Captain Reese confirmed that the doors are completely down <br />in Phase II and they are on manual control. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously added the <br />above matter to the agenda.. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the County Attorney to take whatever action is <br />necessary to solve the problem with the electronics <br />at the Jail. <br />116 <br />DEC 1988 <br />'oo 75 F GE29 <br />
