Terry, CET <br />Civil Engineer_ <br />SUBJECT: Final Assessmentifok 21st Avenue and 22nd Avenue from <br />2nd Street to 4th Street <br />DATE: November 16, 1988 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The paving of the above roads have been completed. Listed <br />below is a comparison of the preliminary estimate and the final <br />costs to the homeowners._ It is noted that all construction cost <br />are under the original estimates: <br />Road <br />21st Avenue <br />22nd Avenue <br />Prelim. Est. Final Cost <br />$40,470.00 <br />$40,470.00 <br />$24,454.2622 <br />$24,416.8869 <br />The final assessment roll has been prepared and is ready to <br />be delivered to the Tax Collector. Assessments are to be paid <br />within 90 days or in two equal installments, the first to be made <br />twelve months from the due date and the second to be made <br />twenty-four months from the due date at an interest rate of 12% <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners. The due date <br />is 90 days after the final determination of the special <br />assessment. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the final assessment to the benefited owners will be <br />less than computed on the preliminary assessment rolls, the only <br />alternative presented is to approve the final assessment rolls. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the final assessment rolls for the <br />paving of 21st Avenue and 22nd Avenue from 2nd Street to 4th <br />Street be approved by the Board of County Commissioners and that <br />they be transferred to the Tax Collector's office for collection. <br />Funding to be from the Petition Paving Account #173-214-541. <br />70 <br />
